BEHAVIORAL SLEEP MEDICINE EXAM

The American Board of Sleep Medicine administers the Behavioral Sleep Medicine Exam.

Candidates for the exam are expected to have the ability to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients who have any of the full range of sleep disorders.

The exam also covers the major cognitive, behavioral and psychiatric theories that provide the rationale for the behavioral evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. Successful candidates will display a thorough understanding of the behavioral and cognitive treatments that are based on these theories.
